Project-Specific DA-Type Waterstop Produced in 32 cm Width

Arfen continues to contribute to key infrastructure developments abroad with its comprehensive range of PVC waterstop products. In recent projects in Ukraine, Arfen waterstops have been selected for use in critical concrete joint applications such as foundations, retaining walls, and water-retaining structures.

As part of these projects, Arfen has recently produced a DA-Type PVC waterstop in 32 cm width, responding to specific project requirements. This custom-sized product maintains the standard structural features of DA-Type external waterstops, including a central expansion zone designed for dilatation joints, while offering increased coverage and performance in wide joint areas.

PVC waterstops are essential for preventing water ingress through concrete joints in reinforced concrete structures. Arfen provides both internal and external types in compliance with TS 3078-1 and TS 3078-2 standards. The main types include:

A-Type – Internal waterstop for construction joints

AA-Type – External waterstop without expansion chamber

D-Type – Internal waterstop with expansion chamber

DA-Type – External waterstop with expansion chamber

FA-Type – End-joint waterstop for rebar-dense zones

Hydrophilic Waterstop – Water-reactive sealing band

Arfen’s PVC waterstops are applied in a wide range of structures including metro tunnels, wastewater facilities, water tanks, and underground foundations.
